But I never got the time...And looking to the day....I mesmerize the light! Victory Pomade is all this and more. It's the 80's in a can, man! The can needs some rust-proofing, but otherwise, I really like this Pomade. It has a ton of hold & an amazing shine, no oily build up either. Victory Pomade would have won the fashion wars of the night club days in the 80's & I only wish it was around then. We were using Queen Helene & Dep (barf). By the peak of the 80's, we had a number of different products, most of which flat out sucked. If Victory Pomade was around back then, OMG. Dance floors would have trembled because Victory Victory Pomade doesn't melt, sweat away or wimp out.
In 2020, soon to be 2021, you can sport a white v-neck, some badass suspenders, a little steam punk here, a little leather boots there. And I recommend spritzing with Demeter Vinyl or Hermes every now & then also. They won't know what hit them!
Pomade is great for today's clean, smooth, textured doo's. When you want to turn it up to maximum warp & then jump to trans-warp, grab some Pomade & Set It Off....From spark to flame (Our love will grow into a fire)...A little thinkin' (Seems to fill me with desire)....Desires burnin' (To you I'm turnin')...(Don't turn away!) Live us this day!....You wanna party (The party's starting with you)....Come on you've got me (Wanting to be near you)
Just got this and the Tonic Spray, for about a week now. The both smell amazing. The Tonic gives you volume with the blow dryer. The Pomade is smooth and works in your hair so great. Easy to style and gives you a firm hold. I work 10 hours in a warehouse with fans blowing, and when I get home, my hair looks the same as when I left. I had been using the Claymore for a bit, it's not as easy to work with and I don't think it smells like clean laundry. I prefer the Pomade.
I love this pomade to add texture to my shoulder length hair. I'm allergic to silicone, and its not easy to find silicone free/water soluble products like this!
great for frizzy short hair.
Gives great separation & great scent. Just got it in but we’re shut down again so haven’t had a chance to use except on myself. I love it
Frequently Asked Questions
What is pomade?
Pomade is a classic men’s grooming product made popular during the early 20th century because of its high shine and strong hold. While early versions were made from petroleum and rendered animal fats, the modern version has transitioned to more of a water-based wax that helps create smooth, easy-to-comb, classic looks in the hair, with easier removal. Victory Brand Pomade is water-based, easy to remove, simple to apply and smells like grandpa’s pipe tobacco!
When should I use pomade?
Pomade is best used to control medium to thick hair types when the desired result is a smooth, semi-wet look or a classic, easy-to-comb hairstyle. It is ideal for short to medium hair lengths.
How do I apply pomade?
For a slick look, Pomade can be applied directly to damp or towel-dried hair and combed into place.
For a smooth look that still has volume, take a small amount of Pomade and apply it to damp hair, blow-dry using a vent or round brush to create volume, apply an additional small amount of Pomade to dried hair and comb into desired look.
Why Victory Barber Pomade?
Instead of a super stiff glued down look, Victory Brand pomade has been specially formulated to be moisturizing, to remain soft feeling in the hair, and to provide excellent control. While most pomades on the market are orange or brown in color, the Victory Brand pomades violet color is designed to help control brassy tones in blonde, silver, or naturally grey hair and keep them shining bright.
Is Victory Brand Pomade easy to remove?
Yes.. Victory Brand Pomade is 100% water-soluble and is easy to remove with a thorough rinse.
Can I use it in fine hair?
Absolutely! Victory Brand Pomade is exceptionally lightweight compared to other pomades, which makes it a good choice for people with fine hair looking to achieve a classic, smooth look.
Does it get crunchy?
Never. Victory Brand Pomade is formulated with water-soluble lanolin that helps moisturize the hair and keeps the finish soft and touchable.
Can I mix it with the other products?
All Victory Brand products are intermixable. Want to add a little shine to Super-Dry? mix it with Pomade in your hands before you apply! Want to increase the hold? Mix it with Claymore for an amazing concoction that we lovingly called PB&J, and watch in amazement as it takes control of your unruly mop.
